The body of engineer Md Hadisur Rahman, who was killed in a rocket attack on the Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BSC) vessel stranded at a Ukraine port, is not coming Dhaka today, Foreign Ministry sources said.

“His body was scheduled to arrive in Dhaka today on a Turkish Airlines cargo flight at 2:00pm but the flight was canceled due to snowfall in Turkey. Attempts are now being made to bring his body on a passenger flight,” sources said.

Earlier on Wednesday, the 28 surviving crew members of Bangladeshi ship Banglar Samriddhi, who were stranded in war-torn Ukraine, arrived in Dhaka.

Md Hadisur Rahman, 47, third engineer of Banglar Samriddhi, was killed in a rocket attack on the Bangladesh Shipping Corporation vessel stranded at a Ukraine port.
